15 Weeks

Holy Crap!!! Has it really been 15 weeks? The pace is really picking up! Only four more weeks until we find out what we're having. That doesn't seem so far away anymore. We're super excited!!

I bought maternity clothes. My work clothes still fit for now but my jeans just got too tight. I can still button them, but they're not comfy at all. Sometimes I think I'm showing and sometimes I don't think I am at all. It depends on what I'm wearing which makes sense. I meant to take a picture this week but forgot. I'll do it in the next day or so.

I haven't been sick in a few days. I've gone longer before and then got sick again, but I'm still holding out hoping that I'm done with all that mess.

The baby is getting BIG! It's crazy to see it on the sonograms. The legs look so long! I think it moves around a lot more now too. Of course, I've figured out how to help that a little bit. A little sugar and some killer dance moves and that baby is dancing all on it's own!!

I'm getting more and more excited everyday! I keep thinking about our little baby being here actually with us...what life will be like then... Some things are a little scary, but that is starting to subside and excitement is taking over! I think Cody is getting excited too. Sometimes he'll rub my tummy and talk to the baby a little bit. He wouldn't used to do that, but I think seeing an actual baby-looking baby on the sonogram is making him realize that there is actually a little baby in there. It's so much more real now for both of us I think.

The baby is the size of an apple this week!

14 Weeks

When I look back, the last 10 weeks since I found out I'm pregnant have FLOWN by! When I look forward to the fact that I have 26 weeks to go still, it seems forever away!

The morning sickness is about the same. I'll be fine for a couple days....sick for a couple days. At least I get a break in there! I know I have it better than some!

No maternity clothes yet!!! I'm kind of excited about that. I'm getting close though. Jeans are starting to get tight and one set of my work scrubs that are elastic waist are about to have to go! I have bought a couple of cute things at a resale shop here and there. I have a skirt, some short shorts, some Bermuda shorts, a dress, a shirt, and a pair of jeans. I just never feel like trying anything on! But alas I will soon have to! I keep losing weight though (5lbs total so far), which seems odd to me. Losing weight and an expanding waistline usually don't go hand in hand.

I've done fairly well with my emotions this week. I think I maybe cried once for no reason. Nothing major though. Cody continues to amaze me! I fell asleep watching a movie on Sunday night at home. I woke up to a clean apartment, laundry had been finished, fresh sheets on the bed awaiting my arrival, and the dishes were done. I really don't know what I could've ever done to deserve such an amazing man!

We got to see the baby again yesterday. He/she had the hiccups and it's so cute to watch it jump. He/she also stretched out so we could see head to toe everything! (Cody thinks it's a boy and I can see why, but we don't know what we're looking for. We'll wait for the pro to tell us for sure in 5 weeks.) The little fingers and toes are fully formed. You can see the brain. It's mouth
even moved like it was talking to us! So awesome. It really is an awesome opportunity that we have to have access to those machines! We are truly blessed!

So baby is the size of a lemon this week. Getting so big so fast!!!

13 Weeks

This last week was FULL of ups and downs. I had a full on emotional breakdown yesterday and was on the verge of one last Friday. I really need to try to get a handle on my hormones. I don't want to be known as the Wicked Witch of Allen! I think everyone is pretty understanding though.

The morning sickness has definitely improved! I'm not completely out of the woods yet, though, but thankful for the improvement. I am hungry a lot but nothing sounds good for the most part. I do have cravings sometimes but nothing too strange. This whole pregnancy I have stayed away from greasy hamburgers, but last night I was craving one so bad! We went to McDonald's and I got a McDouble with a sweet tea and ice cream cone. It was HEAVEN!!! I think I've lost more weight, though. I just don't eat a whole lot. From what I've read that's normal in the first trimester (which I have 1 more week of). That means that all my clothes still fit. I think any baby bump I started to grow has shrunk back in because of the weight loss.

I'm ready for this trimester to be OVER! I want to eat, start gaining the weight that I should be gaining, I want my energy back....ugh. Oh well...getting there.

Cody is still awesome, of course! Even with the now raging hormones! He's the best!

The baby is the size of a medium shrimp this week.

12 Weeks

Yesterday marked the 12th week of my pregnancy. It has been a pretty good week. I didn't get sick almost the whole week! Almost...I have been getting sick the last couple days. Not today so far and I'm hoping for the best!!

I had a doctor appointment today. Baby's heart beat was 143. Pretty average according to the doctor. I go back on March 3rd for a 16 week checkup. On March 23 we should be able to find out the sex of the baby. It seems like FOREVER away but everyone says it'll fly by. Sigh....not happy about that, but what can ya do? I lost 2 pounds...maybe that's because I can't really eat right now!!! So that is a total of 2lbs down for my entire pregnancy thus far. I'm sure it will come back with a vengeance here soon! I have already decided that I'm going to make up for lost time eating!

My body is really starting to change. My little baby bump seems to grow just a tiny bit everyday. My stomach feels tighter when I move around. I have more hormonal moments...not sad ones yet...mostly angry ones!! I'm trying not to! Poor Cody...but he is VERY understanding. I just want to say again how lucky I am to be having this baby with him! He has been and continues to be amazing!

We decided on baby names too!! If we have a girl she'll be McKenna Ann. That's my middle name and would give her my initials. If we have a boy he'll be Camden Tyler. That's Cody's middle name and would give him his initials! I think whichever one we don't use now we'll save for next time! We love those names!!

We bought a crib! It was the exact same one that we wanted from Babies R Us but we got it used on Craig's List. I won't say how much because I don't really think it's any one's business, but it wasn't anywhere near what it costs brand new. Plus it is in excellent shape!

The baby is the size of a lime this week. I know that's not very big, but it's growing faster and faster! It's amazing to see each week how much bigger it is.
